The Qatar Postal Services Company (Qatar Post) participated in the meeting of the Permanent Arab Committee

The Qatar Postal Services Company (Qatar Post) participated in the meeting of the Permanent Arab Committee for Post and its working teams with a delegation led by His Excellency Mr. Faleh Al Naemi – Chairman of the Board of Directors. The State of Qatar also presided the Arab task force for financial services during the period from January 15 to January 19, 2023.

The meetings held in the Arab Republic of Egypt discussed several topics represented in the establishment of the Arab Stamps Exhibition 2023. Mainly, the presentation of the honorable results achieved by the Arab Group in winning the titles of excellence and development, according to the Integrated Index Postal Development report for the year 2022 issued by the Universal Postal Union. In addition, discussions concerning the regional development plan for the Arab region 2022-2025, and issues related to Palestine.

On the sidelines of the meetings, Egypt Post organized a forum on “Postal Regulation and Challenges of Technological Development: Reality and Prospects” on January 18, 2023. It dealt with issues related to improving communications and information technology services, enhancing cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, and the advanced postal experience in Arab countries.

The State of Qatar also participated with a high-level delegation, in the presence of His Excellency Mr. Muhammad bin Ali bin Muhammad Al-Mannai – Minister of Communications and Information Technology and His Excellency Mr. Faleh Al-Naemi, In the twenty-sixth meeting of council of Arab ministers of Communications and Information, which was held on the 23rd of January 2023, various issues were discussed. The most important of which is the approval of the Arab countries on the candidacy of Palestine to make Jerusalem the Arab digital capital in 2023, in addition to agreeing to adopt special resolutions in Palestine.

His Excellency Mr. Faleh Al Naemi stated, “Qatar Post works in a bilateral and distinguished way with various countries, especially with the Egyptian Post, specifically in remittance services. Qatar Post also focuses on increasing the volumes of postal exchange between the two countries by launching new products that serve the beneficiaries. Additionally, Qatar Post is looking forward to further expansion in the field of e-commerce.”

In conclusion, Qatar Post, through its participation in these meetings, contributes to enhancing various aspects of cooperation between the State of Qatar and the brotherly Arab countries.
