Qatar Post Issues Joint Postal Stamp Commemorating 30 Years of Diplomatic Relations with Georgia

Qatar Postal Services Company “Qatar Post” released a joint postal stamp on Sunday, August 27, 2023, commemorating the thirtieth anniversary of diplomatic relations between Qatar and Georgia.

This release highlights the historical and cultural relations that have united the two countries since 1993. It reflects the depth of bilateral relations that have contributed to multiple successes across political, economic, and social domains.

Furthermore, His Excellency Mr. Faleh Al Naemi, The Chairman and Managing Director of Qatar Postal Services Company (Qatar Post), noted that this postal stamp exemplifies the depth of diplomatic relations between the two countries spanning three decades.  He emphasized Qatar Post’s commitment to enhancing these relations and supporting promising cooperation between the two nations in the field of postal services and logistics in the future.

The stamp’s design mirrors aspects of cultural and civilizational exchange between Qatar and Georgia, showcasing architectural landmarks that represent the evolution of architectural engineering in both countries through exterior building designs. A total of 5,000 sets were issued, with 1,000 envelopes released on the first day, priced at 8.50 per set.
