
Qatar Post issued a special postage stamp on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Gulf Cooperation Council, which displays in its design the pictures of the founding leaders in the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the flags of the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council. Mr. Faleh bin Muhammad Al-Nuaimi – Chairman and Managing Director of Qatar Post stated: “The Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf embodies the meaning of brotherhood, historical unity and a common destiny that binds the peoples of the region”.
The launching came as part of the role of the State of Qatar in embodying the historical, social and cultural reality of the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, and reflecting solidarity and Gulf unity”.
The stamps will be sold to the public for 5 Qatari riyals, as the printed quantity of this issue reached 10,000 copies, 6,000 cards, 1,500 envelopes and 500 folders.
