Qatar Post and the Internal Security Force – LEKHWIYA have collaborated to issue a new postage stamp that marks the ISF’s 20th Anniversary

In commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Internal Security Force “Lekhwiya,” Qatar Postal Services Company “Qatar Post” announced the issuance of a joint commemorative stamp with “Lekhwiya.” This stamp launch celebrates this prominent security force in the State of Qatar, which plays a pivotal role in maintaining security and order in the country.
The issuance consists of six stamps, each representing one of the units and departments of “Lekhwiya,” including: Patrols and Motorcade Security Command, the Special Unit Group (Lefdawiya), Qatar Search and Rescue international Group, Special Operations Command, and the Order Preservation Operations Command.
The design features the founding history of “Lekhwiya” and its vital role in protecting the homeland and its citizens. The stamp includes an image that reflects the contribution of the various units and departments of “Lekhwiya” in enhancing security and stability in Qatar, along with the official logo of the Internal Security Force, incorporating design elements that align with the theme of national events. The image also depicts “Lekhwiya” personnel performing their security duties with competence and professionalism, reflecting their dedication and the high level of expertise they possess in serving the nation.
In this regard, Mr. Mohammed Jabr Al Naemi, Acting Director General Manager of Qatar Post, stated: “Today, we celebrate the issuance of this joint commemorative stamp with the Internal Security Force ‘Lekhwiya,’ in a step that reflects our great appreciation for the ongoing efforts of ‘Lekhwiya’ personnel in serving the nation. It reaffirms their readiness to face current and future security challenges, using the latest technologies to ensure security and stability. At Qatar Post, we always strive to honor national institutions through the issuance of special stamps that immortalize their history and significant events. These stamps will also serve as a keepsake for both citizens and residents, contributing to the enhancement of the national identity.”
In conclusion, this issuance is part of a series of stamps released by Qatar Postal Services Company to promote postal culture in the country, through its engagement with national occasions that highlight local achievements and reflect the country’s development in various fields.
Stamp collectors can obtain the commemorative stamp by visiting the Qatar Post website or heading to the Stamp Collectors section at the General Post Office building. The issuance includes 10,000 sets, priced at 18 Qatari Riyals per set, as well as 4,000 postcards priced at 8 Qatari Riyals per postcard.
